Hello all!
This is not the next blog post I thought I would be making on through this holiday weekend.
On the morning of Thanksgiving 2022, in Benton Park, Saint Louis, MO a fire broke out in the basement under Aurora Photography and Design's studio. We have suffered a total loss. The historic building we are leasing had an old, non working elevator shaft that went right up into the studio. The fire travelled up into the all-brick hallway creating a tunnel for heat and smoke, our studio utterly destroyed. There is a huge hole in our floor and anything that wasn't burned was
hit with water while the brave firefighters contained the fire.
This is devastating to our business since photography is not only our passion but it is also our livelihood. After taking a hit during Covid and surviving as best as we can we were finally back on two feet.
While we do have some business insurance, it will not come close to covering everything, because we have expanded our client closet and obtained a lot of hard to replace items. Like our two sets of angel wings that everybody loves. Our photography props, gear, gowns, etc. the majority are completely ruined. We will not be able to function in this space for a long while.
We do not want to call it quits and give up on our dream of capturing those priceless moments with all of you! It is very hard and mentally draining right now; but we will come back from this.

Also some people have asked for a link to Amazon for items we have directly lost as well so as I find them I will be adding to this list. Obviously many of our props and gowns are from speciality vendors so will be unable to list here.
